  • Botanical Name - Rhus typhina
  • Family - Anacardiaceae
  • Leaf - compound pinnate leaflet, lanceolate shape, acute apex, serrate margins
  • Flower - raceme inflorescence, June - July
  • Bud - aleternate
  • Fruit - drupe, August - September
  • Bark - U shape bud scars
  • Habit - suckering, spreading
  • Form - large mounding trub  
  • Size - 16-23 feet
  • Culture - well drained soil, full sun/part shade
  • Use - mixed shrub border 
  • Notes - fuzzy terminal shoots
